For over two decades, I have relied on no-code tools like WordPress for web development, mostly because they are easy and get the job done fast.  There is, however, a limit to where NoCode can take you. This time around, I desire to get into the technicalities of things and understand how to build things from scratch. I have chosen the MernStack as my preferred tech stack. MERN is one of several variations of the MEAN stack (MongoDB Express Angular Node), where the traditional Angular.js front-end framework is replaced with React.js. Other variants include MEVN (MongoDB, Express, Vue, Node), and really any front-end JavaScript framework can work.

Why did I choose the name Nonstack? Because my name is Nonso, I decided to create a creative compound word naming convention that still connotes technology, Nonso-Stack = Nonstack. A lot of people believe coding is hard, and at the time of writing this about page, I couldn’t even write HTML to save my life. The idea behind this website, which I probably built with WordPress, is to blog as I learn. Today’s date is 11/11/2022. In a year, if not much happens, I must have changed my mind about coding and gone into something else.

I don’t even want to think about it too hard right now; I just want to go in with an open mind and the mindset that I’m just having fun. So I will be starting with HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I’m hoping to purchase a few Udemy courses today. Personally, I believe the best way to approach learning is to start with an open mind, not because you are desperate to get a job or because you want to prove something to someone. Have fun and be yourself. See you……

Wait! again I believe you don’t need to break the bank to learn something new, there are tons of free resources online. Doing a Google or YouTube search should be your first approach. There’s no need for expensive bootcamps; just limit your spending to your internet services and time, which is, indeed, the biggest currency these days.

** I just posted this article a few minutes ago, and my GEEE @K4y1s reminded me that https://freecodecamp.org is an awesome place to check out if you wish to learn for free… So take note of that too..
